DoA Synopsis

Myradia achieved independence in the year of 1960 and adopted pro-democracy policies because of long time democratic influences. However, the great Communist powers, checking on the expansion of democracy, started and funded a communist movement to plot against the Myradian government.

Initially, it was just small sporadic demonstrations, which quickly grew into full scale riots. The communist movement worked hard to spread their propaganda; and they were successful in attracting more followers. With support from the Communists, they established an anti-government army, widely known as the AGA.

The government was shocked at the speed that the small communist movement grew and made efforts to contain the movement, but it was too late. The AGA attacked and destroyed Phinoyan, the second largest city to the north, with a well organized army armed with rockets and tank support in the year 1965. Thus, the government turned to its democratic allies for help and they, determined to stave off the communist juggernaut, sent war supplies and trained the Myradian Government Force. With this, Myradia was effectively split into 2, the democratically supported Myradian government, and the powerful Communist movement.

In the year of 1972, the AGA launched a massively successful offensive sweep deep in the southern part of Myradia, gaining control of many key strategic positions and effectively conquering wholly southern Myradia. It is during this time, that you must play your part in history.

Warcraft (Orcs vs Humans)

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans is a real-time strategy computer game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 1994. Originally developed for DOS, the game was subsequently ported to version 7 of Mac OS making it fully playable on the Macintoshes of the era. The real-time strategy genre had been pioneered by Dune 2, among other games, but Warcraft (along with Westwood Studios' Command & Conquer) is widely credited for the genre's rise in popularity. Warcraft and its sequels went on to become one of the most successful franchises in computer gaming history.

The game is set in the Kingdom of Azeroth, part of the fictional Warcraft Universe. The events that take place in this game are known in Warcraft lore as the First War or the Great War.

Ragnarok Online

The currency of the game is "zeny", which may be obtained by the selling of items recovered from defeating monsters. The economy in Ragnarok Online is driven heavily by rare items that are not sold in stores and there is a very large difference in wealth between players, for the most part and in part with the effects of the players and discounted items as well as competitive pricing as with most games. The Merchant class offers vending of items to other players, overcharging of items, and even discounts, although the advanced stalker class can get an even larger discount.
There are eight equipment slots - three for headgear (top, middle and bottom), two for accessories, and one of each for shields, weapons, body armor, cloaks and footgear. Currently, only the 3 head pieces show significant external graphic variety. Weapon and shield are the only other items that can be seen externally, but are significantly more limited in variety.
